How do we define difficulty?

💡 Criteria to categorize the difficulty levels:

  1. Complexity: How complex are the steps of the activity?

  2. Age group & Prior Knowledge: Familiarity with soft skills and learning methods

  3. Guidance & Support: Can learners independently complete the task?

  4. Application of Soft Skills: Does the activity involve basic or advanced use of the skill?

And we come up with 5 levels of Difficulty:

  • Easy: Straightforward tasks with clear guidance and step-by-step instructions. No previous knowledge is required.

  • Basic: Tasks that require a basic understanding of the soft skill, with some complexity. Guidance and support are provided.

  • Medium: Moderately complex tasks that build upon foundational knowledge of the soft skill. Requires prior knowledge and some independent problem-solving.

  • Challenging: Complex tasks that demand a strong grasp of soft skills. Guidance is available but limited, encouraging independent thinking and application.

  • Advanced: Highly complex tasks that require extensive knowledge and expertise in soft skills. Limited to no guidance is provided, requiring learners to develop innovative strategies and solutions.
